OSAF’s Chandler

This “project(OSAF Chandler)”:http://osafoundation.org seems to be aimed
at a target I’ve been persuing in my own way for about 10 years now – a
single collection of the many linked and tagged information items that
make up my daily life in the world of computers. So much so that I’m
putting more effort into my python skills and keeping an eye out for
that nitch that will make me useful to their project.

I’ve been a social lurker at the OSAF’s Chandler irc channel for a while
now giving feedback on their ideas and generally trying to not be a pest
while sucking as much information from them as possible. It’s
intimidating sometimes because there are some serious minds involved
with the project, so while I’m not “schooled” like them, I have some
real-life experiance in the coding trenches that I’m hoping will be
useful.

In that vein, I’ve been trying to help out in an area I have tons of
experience with: source code builds and testing. They have taken a
couple patches of mine already to make adjustments to the FreeBSD and
MSVC build environments. More to come.
